Summary/Abstract: Among other countless guidelines and guidance, aiming at the dignity of the creature and its salvation, the Bible provides us with a profound, comprehensive, impressive, and coherent Family Code, which any couple ought to know, understand and observe. We are tempted to expose, briefly and schematically, this Code, as, by studying the Scriptures, we have come to discover it. According to Scripture, it is not good for man to be alone. Adam was molded from clay; Eve, from his rib. Thus, it is not a man-woman hierarchy that is established, but a difference. Complementary, Adam and Eve are building, in their union, the whole and perfect human being, one body as they were before. Man and Woman are two bodies in existence, one body in essence. The metaphysical union is the most precious foundation of marriage, justifying it in temporality and in eternity. Marriage was made for eternity so that those united in God could not be separated by anyone. However, fidelity did not have to go beyond the spouses’ ability to love each other. For situations where there is no longer love between them, the solution for the matrimonial crisis was, in the Old Testament, the „writing of divorcement”. In the Epistle to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul crowns this Family Code with the tangible, not at all illusory, perspective of the happiness, of the sublime, of the sacredness.
