Summary/Abstract: In this study we try to address some issues related to the authorship of the hymn Te Deum laudamus, a Trinitarian and doxological hymn, which was written in Latin, in rhythmic prose, during the great Trinitarian and Christological disputes in the late fourth century and early fi fth century. The major objective of this study is to elucidate the question of the authorship of this Trinitarian hymn: is Bishop Nicetas of Remesiana the rightful author of the hymn Te Deum Laudamus or not and the arguments that lead us to plead in his favor.
