Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the problem of transforming the image of Don Quixote in Isaak Babel’s 'Cavalry' and Andrey Platonov’s 'Chevengur' and the attempts of both writers to translate quixotism as a historical phenomenon into ideological language of their revolutionary epoch.
