THE IMAGES OF PONTIUS PILATE IN THE RUSSIAN LITERATURE

Summary/Abstract: The author examines the universal evangelical images present in the literatures and cultures o f the World. Showing the diversity of artistic interpretations of these images, he deals specifically with the literary works by contemporary Russian and Russian-speaking writers (M. Bulhakov, C. Aytmatov and J. Dombrovsky).
