Summary/Abstract: The author in his article tries to characterize the role and position of Soviet Russian Literature in the social and literary life of Poland, between 1918-1972. The author emphasized that Soviet literature always enjoyed great popularity in Poland thanks to its ideologically cognitive and artistic values even in the most difficult conditions during the twenty years between the wars. The creativity of Soviet writers also played a definite role in the literary life of Poland.
