THE PERIODICAL „NOVYI PUT” AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF RUSSIAN MODERNISTIC CULTURE

Summary/Abstract: In the article the author made an attempt at a general characterization of the monthly „Nowyi Put'” issued at the beginning of the twentieth century in Petersburg by a group of symbolists-idealists who were also attached to the journal „Міг Iskusstva”. The author presented first of all the polemics between ,,neο-Christians” and the advocates of „pure art”.
