Summary/Abstract: Over time, the Serbian (Yugoslav) ‒ Romanian cultural, literary and linguistic relations and the issues related to the Serbian minority in Romania have always risen the interest of the scientific community, of researchers involved in Slavic studies and literary historians from both sides of the border, which developed in volumes, studies, articles, lectures held at numerous national and international symposia and conferences. However, when it comes to the Serbian language literature in our country, the scope of these researches is noticeably restrained, although there are certain reference works, most of which are limited to introductory studies, anthologies' prefaces or postfaces and writers' lexicons. Speaking about the Serbian literature in Romania in the past quarter century, one can hardly see any. And this is the very topic of our paper. The most thorough analysis and value judgment of the literary creation of the Serbian minority in our country after the Second World War was provided by Vojislava Stoianovich, the author of an anthology of poetry and prose in Serbo-Croatian, Trajanje "Endurance" (Vojislava Stojanović, 1986). This is the first book ever published in the neighboring country ‒ in Yugoslavia at that time, in 1986. It was meant to be the first step of a synthetic retrospective analysis of these literary phenomena, along with other cultural aspects presented such as: education, cultural-artistic movement, mass-media, editorial activity, literary papers, literature circles, linguistic issues. Our research aims at a critical radiography of the literary works of the Serbian writers in Romania in the last quarter century. We intend to analyze the literary (con/in)fluences coming from both the Romanian and the Serbian literature, their cultural and literary positioning as compared to the country of origin, the immediate contacts occasioned by various cultural and literary activities, the place they have in the Serbian literature, the way they are perceived in Serbia and Romania and, last but not least, the continuity due to the young writers, many of them having studied in Serbia.
