Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the works of the well-known Soviet prose writer Vasili Bykov. Hie war stories of the late sixties and the early seventies are the subject of the investigation. The author of the article analyses some aspects of the form and content in Bykov’s stories. He tries to show the composition-plot scheme whose peculiarity lies in the modelling of the space-time continuum. The composition plot scheme is closely connected with the moral-ethic problem of the stories. The analysis of the form and content of the stories enables some preliminary generalization about genre features of one of the varieties of contemporary parabolic stories to be made.
