Formal classification of verbs in Modern Bulgarian (new approach)

Summary/Abstract: The article presents two types of classifications of Bulgarian verbs – horizontal and vertical, who are based entirely on formal criteria, justifying the prospect of a new approach. The research is related to the work on the project "Normative grammar of the Bulgarian language". The two classifications take into account the values of the three temporal temporal grammatical suffix – prescient, aorist and imperfect. One classification is based on the combinatorics of these values, and the other is a three-level, based on the dichotomous principle.
