Summary/Abstract: Among the themes of great theological and historical impact of the interwar period are those that tried to define the nation, nationalism, Orthodoxy and Romanianism in the context of Christian spirituality. The priest professor Dumitru Stăniloae was the Romanian theologian who argued patristically and dogmatically the concept of nation and who exploited historicallytheologically the becoming of the Romanian nation. His dissertations are very current today, especially since their central idea is the uniqueness of the nation and the communion between nations on the common background of Christianity. Without the religious link, the nation and its relationship with other nations lose their consistency and become a simple theory that disintegrates over time.
