Summary/Abstract: There are different evaluations about the relationship between political stability and economic growth in countries where democratic governance is based in the world. In addition to the opinions stating that the economic growth slows down with the strengthening of the democratic structure, there are also views that the economic growth of the countries increases with the strengthening of the democratic structure. Political stability provided by democratic administrations that provide people with more rights and freedoms positively contributes to economic growth by affecting institutional structures. The environment of political stability becomes important for economic actors to make effective decisions for the future by reducing uncertainty about the future. This situation positively affects the economic growth through decisions such as consumption and investment. However, in the opposite case, problems occurring in the economic structure may also cause political stability in the country. In this respect, it is important to determine which relationship between political stability and growth is decisive. Turkey's coalition government that took place in the 1990s and continuing political instability, especially since 2002, ensuring political stability and economic growth with steps towards democratization also had a favorable impact on the figures this situation and its impact on economic growth in the long term of ensuring political stability in Turkey has been positive. .
