Summary/Abstract: The theatre critic Nóra Ugron saw the production ROMACEN – Vremea Vrăjitoarei (ROMACEN – The Age of The Witch) that was realised in co-production by the Bucharest-based Roma, feminist, independent theatre company Giuvlipen and the Andrei Mureșanu Theatre based in Sfântu Gheorghe. This performance represents the company’s romafuturist spirit, therefore Ugron in her analysis uses such descriptive tags that focus on the main questions of the movement and the performance: What does the ‘era of romacene’ mean? Who are the cyber wizards? Which possibilities and dilemmas are caused by the human-technology relationship? How do these help us imagine a fair future; it also deals with the rupture created by the inequalities between the races.
