Social and psychological characteristics of the elderly

Summary/Abstract: The way every one of us imagine his old age is very different from one to another. This depends of various individual factors: the life spent until then, life concept, accomplishments, unfulfilled projects, successes, failures, satisfactions, disappointments, physical and psychological health, social class, family, economics. Although is naturally to talk about old days / old people, as we talk about childhood / children, referring to some common points that are integrated in this life segments. As I specified in my paper work, aged people are confronted with physical and also social problems. Many are disregarded in the society they belong to for the simple reason that they are old and nobody needs them. Many of them don't want to be a problem for their families so they decide to live in asylum where they are usually better treated than they were in their families. The legislation for old people in the asylum issue is not very well designed, therefore it can make easier the old person's life. It will elapse many years until our country will offer to old man all the conditions that an needs. The organizations that offer some kind of services are very well structured and they have qualified employees in resolving the most of the cases, but there are also another problems that wait for a good result.
