Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a proposition of periodisation of biblical Polish history, referring mainly to philological criteria. The author suggests distinguishing three periods in the history of this language style, including: (1) development of the properties of biblical Polish – from the alleged "Psałterz Kingi" to the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries; (2) consolidation of stylistic features of biblical Polish – from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries to the 70s of the 20th century; and (3) continuation / transformation of the stylistic pattern of biblical Polish – from the 70s of the 20th century until today. Apart from the periodisation, the paper contains remarks on the assumed time lines, as well as factors which influenced the development and consolidation of these qualities and features, which make up a collection of stylistic constants of the biblical variety of Polish.
