Summary/Abstract: The objective of this article is to present some methods which can be used for abetter integration of foreign students in the Romanian educational system, to help us better understand the values, motivation, and barriers in multicultural learning environments, and use this knowledge in order to improve our teaching techniques and methods, and to manage the difficulties that appear in multicultural academic environments. As foreign students are prone to a culture shock when they arrive in a foreign country, our activity as teachers should also be aimed at finding better methods that can help them cope with these challenges. Interactive teaching methods and an open attitude towards our students can be used as successful means to help them learn Romanian and overcome the difficulties they face in a new social and cultural environment.
