Summary/Abstract: In July 2020, several legislative acts were published in the Official Gazette, including the Order of the President of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration no. 2778/2020 regarding the competence to carry out the verification of the personal fiscal situation and of the preliminary activities and the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 120/2020 establishing support measures for employees and employers in the context of the epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Moreover, in July, several legislative acts were amended, among which: Law no. 51/1995 for the organization and practice of the lawyer’s profession; Company Law no. 31/1990; Law no. 129/2019 for preventing and fighting money laundering and the financing of terrorism, and for amending and supplementing some legislative acts; Law no. 263/2010 on the unitary public pension system; Decree-Law no. 118/1990 on granting rights to persons persecuted for political reasons by the dictatorship established on 6 March 1945, and to those deported abroad or imprisoned; the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 80/2013 on judicial stamp duties; Law no. 50/1991 on authorizing the execution of construction works; Law no. 53/2003 on the Labour Code. Furthermore, the Government Decision no. 553/2020 regarding the extension of the state of alert on the Romanian territory starting with 17 July 2020, and establishing the measures to be applied during this state for preventing and fighting against the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, was published in the Official Journal of July.
