Summary/Abstract: In August 2020, several legislative acts were published in the Official Journal, among which the Order of the Minister of Culture (OMC) no. 3037/2020 for approval of the procedure regarding the prior notification and issue of the written consent, in the case of execution of the works, under the conditions provided for in art. 11 paragraphs (2) and (4) of Law no. 50/1991 on authorizing the execution of construction works; G.E.O. no. 132/2020 for the establishment of certain support measures for employees and employers in the context of the epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, as well as for increasing the employment; Government Decision no. 668/2020 regarding the extension of the state of alert on the territory of Romania starting with 16 August 2020, and establishing the measures to be applied during this state for preventing and fighting against the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, in August, several legislative acts were amended, among which: G.E.O. no. 158/2005 regarding sick leaves and the social health insurance allowance, approved as amended and supplemented by Law no. 399/2006; G.E.O. no. 97/2005 on the records, domicile, residence and identity documents of Romanian citizens; Regulation on the organization and conduct of the contest for filling in vacancies in the probation system, as approved by Order of the Minister of Justice no. 2.140/C/2016; Law no. 50/1991 on authorizing the execution of construction works; Law on cadastre and real estate advertising no. 7/1996; Law no. 217/2003 for preventing and combating domestic violence. At the same time, two ECHR Decisions were also published in the Official Journal of August: ECHR Decision dated 23 April 2019 in Case E.-U. and A. v. Romania (Claim no. 42.447/10) and ECHR Decision dated 3 March 2020 in case C. and others v. Romania (Claim no. 30.547/14 and other four claims).
