Summary/Abstract: In the time of its short existence during the Second World War, the Independent State of Croatia maintains close relations with Bulgaria in almost all spheres of public and political life. Sports are no exception. The article aims to show contacts in this area from a political point of view. Despite the lack of international sports tournaments, Bulgarian and Croatian sportsmen met in a number of competitions, seen as an important element of the relations between the two countries.
