The medicine and the old and new medical-pharmaceutical book in small libraries

Summary/Abstract: The University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Carol Davila” of Bucharest has in the collection of History of Pharmacy „Conf. dr. Z. St. Fârșirotu” several books of heritage. It may be a small collection with 1000 titles but we can find many important works. We analized several books and manuscripts but the most interesting is The book of health by F.-V. Raspail, translated in Romanian by I. Brezoianu in 1852. We can rediscover the beauty of XIXth century language, but of course we can analyse several remedies and clinical cases. An important source of pharmacy, medicine and of toxicology, this work is scientifically accurate for XIXth century, when it was written.
