Summary/Abstract: Comparable corpora are at the basis of computer-aided translation, contrastive analysis, lexicography, etc., but they are used more and more in teaching translation. The exercises are meant to improve the understanding of the source texts and to reformulate them in the target language, with special regard to the use of terms and of language-specific expressions. We believe that the use of comparable corpora in translation class is an introduction to the workplace and an important step in the future translators’ training.
