Integral teacher as an evolutionary leader

Summary/Abstract: This article describes competencies of an integral teacher in the light of research in the field of leadership. It starts with presenting the development of consciousness in an integral perspective. Recognizing this field is especially important in the context of adult education and in order to awaken developmental motivation. The Author adapts models of construct-developmental researchers and draws from them the desired competencies of an integral teacher. At the end the Author calls for the education of a new type of teacher as a leader with post-conventional consciousness, who is powerful enough to catalize the integral development of students. Artykuł opisuje kompetencje pedagoga integralnego w świetle badań w obszarze przywództwa. Na wstępie przybliża kwestie rozwoju świadomości w perspektywie integralnej. Rozpoznanie tego obszaru jest ważne zwłaszcza w kontekście kształcenia osób dorosłych i budzenia ich motywacji rozwojowej. W dalszej części Autor adaptuje modele badaczy konstruktywistyczno-rozwojowych do edukacji i wywodzi z nich pożądane kompetencje integralnego pedagoga. W konkluzji przekonuje do konieczności kształcenia nowej generacji nauczycieli – liderów z rozwiniętą świadomością postkonwencjonalną, wystarczająco mocnych, by katalizować integralny rozwój uczniów/studentów.
