Open Access in information management and sharing of research resources – Web of Science

Summary/Abstract: Open Access is constantly changing the approach to shaping the scientific information system. In the new operating conditions, the database of Web of Science citation indexes, used inbibliometrics, provides bibliographic data and abstracts as well as links to resources in Open Access. This website gives the possibility of grouping scientific publications, multi-aspect searching, analyzing and monitoring millions of documents in one place. The aim of the article is to draw attention to information management in the commercial Web of Science database and to present the methods of OA resources presentation in Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports. Due to the extent of the issues, the consideration is limited to selected aspects of the presented subject matter.
