Summary/Abstract: The participation of workers and employees in resolving general labour issues in an enterprise is an important form of social dialogue as a basic principle in labour law. In our country this participation has not become widespread yet. And the little experience shows that it can be an efficient means for raising the interest in labour and its effectiveness, which is equally important for both parties to the labour relationship. However, the multitude of categories of workers’ and employees’ representatives, the duplication of their functions with those of the trade union representatives and the considerable extent of their rights create some additional difficulties for the employer in exercising the rights. These are the questions the study deals with.
