Summary/Abstract: In the text below we will focus attention on two important themes of Professor KarlBarth’s theological thinking, namely the faith and the role the divine grace playsin the manifestation of human freedom. On the one hand we will attempt to knowbetter the two concepts of the Barthian doctrinaire system, the faith and the divinegrace, which occupies a central place in the thinking of the Protestant theologian. Onthe other hand we will try to highlight the differences between Protestant thinkingand Eastern Patristic theology
