Summary/Abstract: One of the most frequent questions the author has faced throughout his almost 40-years long pedagocial practice in the field of organ playing is technical performance of Widor´s famous Toccata from the Symphony No. 5 for organ. Many artists experience fatigue and pain in arms after playing even a short passage of this famous composition. The aim of this article is to provide solutions to the problems connected with fatigue and cramps during playing. Technical opportunities use different types of staccato and notes on when and how to use them correctly. In order to understand the right style and technique of the play one has to consider the space and the instrument for which Widor composed the piece of art, as well as the notes of the author himself and of his pupil L. Vierna.
