Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the copies of the Encomium to Cyril and Methodius. This work is known in 36 copies, 4 of which are found in late scholarly transcripts from the 19th c. Observations are made on the contents of the manuscripts in which the Encomium is copied and on the relationship of the accompanying texts from the circle of Cyrillomethodian sources. The manuscripts’ bibliographic data are also specified. Special attention is paid to the examination of one fragment of the work, which is preserved in two copies and where one part of the Encomium is inserted after the end of Vita Constantini. The two texts are identical. This part of the text has been adapted as a natural continuation of the narrative of the Vita about the events after the death of Cyril. A major editorial intervention can be seen in the text of the letter of Pope Adrian. The supplement presents the text of the letter according to the three main sources: Vita Methodii, Encomium to Cyril and Methodius, and the Addition.
