Summary/Abstract: Even though there are some particularities within every age category which can be applied to all its members, third age persons compose the population's most heterogeneous segment and theirs functionality differs even more comparing a person with another one than the case of other age persons, due to the different aging rhythm, genetically heritage, psycho-spiritual profile, life experience, familial and social-cultural context that he lives in, experienced events. The studies reveal the existence of a great variability and individuality concerning experimenting aging process and, implicitly, concerning experimenting different needs and theirs satisfaction. One of the factors with a major contribution determining the different experimenting of the aging process is represented by the gender. The gender seems to have an effect significant on living, experiences and third age persons’ satisfaction. It is possible to say, in general, that the third age is a different experience for women and men.
