Summary/Abstract: The essence of any organization is human resource, and its efficiency and effectiveness are largely influenced by the daily behavior manifested in the organization. Nowadays, police officers have been put forward major tasks, and in order to solve them they must possess high professional, organizational and moral qualities. In their absence and in the absence of favorable psychological climate, destructive situations based on stress and nervousness are created, which in many cases, lead to conflicts of different nature. Conflicts can be caused not only by the aberrant behavior of the police officers, but also of their leaders. As with any job, within police units there may be various behavioral abuses such as: promises failure, disrespectful attitude, arrogance, rights violations, demoralizing criticism, violation of information confidentiality etc. In writing this article we assumed that effective implementation of a code of professional ethics may have a positive effect on employee behavior.
