Summary/Abstract: Competencies and values of children are often formed in association with media content, which they get in touch with, nowadays. As the foundation of a successful development of their media literacy can be considered the zeal of teachers and parents together with their efficient cooperation in this field. The contribution presents the partial results of the research, which has been focused on finding the current state of cooperation between parents and school in the field of media education of younger school-age children. The conclusion based on the results is that their cooperation should be more intense.
