Summary/Abstract: A success in developing children media literacy in young school age stems from the enthusiasm of teachers and parents, their effective cooperation, as well as their interest in development of their competences in the field of media education. Parents who are in close relation with a child need to have the competences that help their children in shaping of their personalities with regard to the edia sphere. The paper presents partial results of research aimed at investigating the interest in training and learning portals of the primary education teachers and parents to help them in developing their media competences. The results of the research have shown that teachers and parents are trying to acquire and develop their media competences mainly through the educational portals and teachers are also interested in training in the media education.
