Calitatea locuirii vârstnicilor din municipiul Baia Mare
The living quality of the old people within Baia Mare municipality

Summary/Abstract: The flowing hypothesis will be tested in this study. The satisfaction of living of the aged in the city of Baia Mare is determined to a great extent by its objective quality.This hypothesis will be tested by association two aggregate indies: the first, that of satisfaction with the dwelling, and the second, the aggregate index of living (both indices result from the agregation of he values of some simple indices of the satisfaction of living, as well as of the living conditions, surfaces, equipment, the overale quality of the building). The bigger the value of the index of the obiective quality of living is, the bigger the satisfaction with the living conditions will get. As shown before, most of the aged people included in the study are confronted with average or below average living conditions, while the equipment of the dwellings is average too. The poor quality of living, highly related to health problems leads to anxiety and to the loss of self-respect, all these generating in the inereased costs of medical and social assistance.
