Summary/Abstract: The Internet, i.e. the computer network, which is currently spread all over the world, has become an inseparable element of modern life. Social media aimed at, among other things, maintaining interpersonal relationships have gained and yet continue to gain on enormous popularity by offering its users various functions and possibilities. The Internet is used mainly by young people who are most vulnerable to many dangers posed by it. As research shows, Internet addicts gradually begin to neglect their responsibilities, family, or friends, and replace them with virtual life. Consequently, it is difficult for them to return to normal functioning, especially when the enormity of neglected issues begins to become overwhelming, which can lead to depression and other serious diseases.
