The economic infrastructure diversity of rural areas in Wielkopolskie voivodship

Summary/Abstract: An infrastructural equipment measure in powiats is presented in the article. The measure was executed by two sets of diagnostic features. In the first approach, the infrastructure was described with the aid of density indicators, in the second one – with the aid of availability indicators. The results showed that both approaches make it possible to select powiats with the unsatisfactory infrastructure equipment level by availability and by density as well as powiats very well-equipped. It results from natural conditions as well as from the population density. It was stated that very good infrastructure availability is not strictly correlated with its high density level. Most quickly rises the infrastructure availability in rural areas characterized by low development level (gas and sewage systems).
