THE BODY OF THE INFANT AND THE CHILD AS DAS UNHEIMLICHE

Summary/Abstract: The text present the concept of „Das Unheimliche” from S. Freud in relation to the experiences, which the body of the infant and sick child provoke in the parent. The parents are faced with the clash between their child phantasm of the baby doll and the real body of the child, which arouses anxiety. The cases of infanticide can also sometimes be thought as impossibility for construction of the child as a separate subject. Short illustrations from clinical practice are offered in this text.
