Summary/Abstract: In the shaping of our lives, there is the effect of culture in which we were born and grew up as much as technology and science. There is nothing more natural than carrying the culture in which people live to the places where they go or work. Artists are distinguished little more in this regard within the context of the products they produce. Artists are fed directly from the cultures in which they live in or in which they were born. Social mistakes, pleasures, sorrows, problems, cultural data constitute their primary sources. Many of our artists who have produced and still continue to produce works in Turkish painting art have showed ultimate attention to treat such subjects in their works. In this study, the artists who put forward the Turkish culture in the works they have been producing from the beginning of the republic to the present day and their understanding are discussed. Sixteen artists who especially treated cultural values in their paintings came to the fore within the development of Turkish Painting Art. Artists are listed according to their birth dates from the beginning of the republic to the present day.
