Review of the book „Long-term care in the Czech Republic and elsewhere“

Summary/Abstract: The various authors of the book, led by Dr. Ladislav Průša, attempt to identify the key issues that are hindering the development of long-term care for the elderly and the disabled in the Czech Republic. The publication aims to present a comprehensive study that describes in detail the current state of affairs in these sectors and the situation of informal care providers and their main needs. These are ambitious objectives that are difficult to meet in a single monograph. The book provides a good description of the reality in the Czech Republic as well as a number of interesting comparisons with the situation in other countries. It is particularly suitable for professionals who are engaged in these sectors.
