Summary/Abstract: Societies are not merely their material assets. What distinguishes them from other societies is their cultural heritage. Both the conservation and the transfer of these legacies, which are cumulative and constitute the main identity of the society, to the future generations constitute the foundations of the bridges between the past and the future. Nowruz or spring festival, which is one of these cultural heritages, is a festival that has been celebrated since the archaic period without any distinction between religion and nation. Each society has created some beliefs and traditions about nevruz, even though the aim is the same, by kneading them with their own beliefs and traditions in the historical process. Today, the Amucas, who live mostly on the border of Thrace and Bulgaria, are also one of the rare communities that keep alive the traditions of Nowruz and their beliefs around these traditions. In this article, we have tried to compile through field research of the beliefs and practices of Amucas, which have a rich cultural accumulation and diversity of belief, as well as diversification and changes along with their cultural heritage from the past.
