Summary/Abstract: Language is the instrument through which humans communicate. Depending on each situation, we use a specific language that adapts to what we want to say. For our everyday conversations with family and friends we use colloquial language. We believe that colloquial language is the part of the language that is in continuous development, since it is a language that changes with each generation, that is constantly updating to stay alive. Sometimes, the words used take new meanings, other times new words are formed by derivation, parasynthesis or composition, enriching the language by it. And, that is way, in this article we want to discuss the differences in meaning that the words used in colloquial language present and classify them according to their means of creation. In this article we will talk about the terminology used in the colloquial language, see what are the new meanings that a series of words in a colloquial context receives, and if it comes close or not to its original meaning.
