Summary/Abstract: The essay of Nóra Ugron analyses the plays of Political Theatre Season (Stagiune de Teatru Politic) which were available online in the autumn of 2020, two of which were first performances (Matern, Capete Înfierbântate 2020), respectively were the recordings of earlier performances (2012: subPământ, 2017: ’90, 2019: Lucrător Universal). Ugron frames the thematic and esthetical description of the play within the broader context of the Season hallmarked by stage director David Schwarz and concludes that repertoire not only stages the problems of the Romanian society after the regime change, but also makes perceivable a type of experience which is missing from the stages of the art theatres.
