Antigone – Pathos and Irony of the Political Element

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the ethics in the context of social philosophy. The author analyses Sophocles’ Antigone in this respect. According to Hegel, who is often quoted in the article, Antigone is a perfect piece in terms of philosophy. A great part of the article is dedicated to family that – as John Paul II quotation says – is the future of the humankind. The author believes that it is the family that decides about the decline of the current ethics.
