Summary/Abstract: Over recent years, consistent efforts have been made in Bulgaria to introduce reforms into criminal law. Due to this, the Criminal Code adopted a number of amendments and supplements. One of the issues which recently gave rise to serious debates in theory and judicial practice involves the issue whether the re-introduction of the legal regulation of continuing offense by virtue of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Criminal Code, promulgated in State Gazette Issue 92/2002, is in conformity with the contemporary trends in criminal Jaw. The paper deals with the positive and negative results that occurred in the judicial practice following the re-introduction of the legal definition of continuing offense and focuses on the need for legislative reforms.
