Summary/Abstract: Reghin is a historical landmark for the Upper Mureş Valley. The Upper Mureş Valley, through its entire existence, falls into the historical process of the Romanian nation, having an important economic, spiritual, cultural and historical center in the town of Reghin. Reghin, with a wide opening to the plain, dominates the roads that descended to the Mures Valley, Gurghiu and Lut. The making of the national ideal, the union of Transylvania with the motherland, has also produced transformations and renewal in the field of culture.Such transformations are also recorded in Reghin. New schools are emerging, culture and education are developed at all levels. Cultural and educational institutions have culturalized the masses through different cultural activities. After the Vienna Diktat, Reghin crosses a very difficult time. After the establishment of Communism in Romania, our country enters into a new stage characterized by important changes. Reghin, an integral part of the country and the history of the Romanian people, presents, in the light of the changes that have occurred, aspects characteristic to the entire Romanian society. It is also of interest for educational institutions to prepare people for different trades. During Communism, the materialistic ideology is propagated. And during this period new cultural and educational institutions appear. With the full weight of the communist era, culture and education have achieved remarkable successes. After the fall of communism, Reghin, like the whole country, has a period of development. There is a visible modernization of all cultural and educational institutions that are now performing modern, civilized, European-minded activities. There is visible progress from all points of view.
