Policy and development strategyin the European Union in the conceptionof economics of sustainable development

Summary/Abstract: The ongoing process of globalization, the connections between countries and the widespread environmental problems contributed to the change in the attitude to the economic processes and to science of widely understood social welfare. The new scientific discipline i.e. the economy of sustainable development, introduced the holistic approach to finding solutions in this sphere. It allowed to work out and later consequently to implement the European Union Sustainable Development Strategy, which has been executed for 10 years.
