Summary/Abstract: In this article, we will explain the basic principles and requirements of a philosophical dialogue, as it is expressed in two important literary currents of the XXth century: the « Génération de la Ronde » (1898-1915) and the « Indigénistes » (1915-1957). We will deal with the existential quest for happiness of the Nation, as it is mirrored in the Haitian literary works of such historical period. The ends of a philosophical dialogue as they are pursued by the Haitian writers from 1898 to 1957 will be unveiled.
