Summary/Abstract: The teaching of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński on the issue of the family was a theological analysis of its functioning in the post-war period in Poland. He postulated that the basis of the family should be the sacramental and indissoluble marital union of a man and a woman who openly accept the lives of their children, and base their family life on prayer, the Bible and the sacraments. Empirical research confirms the truth of these postulates, as they prove that families with a high level of religiosity, namely families “strong with God”, function better in various dimensions of marital and family life than families with a low level of religiosity.
