The crime of a search for antiques without a permit or with violation of its conditions

Summary/Abstract: The illegal search for antiques is a visible phenomenon but it is largely misinterpreted from a legal perspective. The lack of permission required by law or searching for antiques with violation of the permission’s terms constitutes a crime under the provisions of Art. 109c of the Law on the protection of antiques. As statistics show, most explorers are not aware of this requirement, which in turn generates a high percentage of undetected crime. It is therefore important for raising public awareness regarding those issues as well as continuing its scientific exploration.
