Jazz in the context of postmodernism: theoretical milestones

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to introduce into the national scientific circuit some theories that deal with the specificity of jazz at the present stage of its evolution through the theory and practice of postmodernism. Some concepts are briefly presented and analyzed, which can complement the methodological basis of the works dedicated to the analysis of national jazz phenomena at the confluence of the 20th-21st centuries. Based on the concepts of international researchers, a verifiable scientific apparatus is endorsed in the analysis of universal jazz phenomena. Intertextuality, deconstruction of artistic and cultural meanings, semantic re-codification and other methods are highlighted.
