Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the essence and consequences of asymmetric competition. The author has formulated preconditions of successful asymmetric competition: uniqueness and dissimilarity in resources, strategies, actions, and outcomes; eventuality, unpredictability, and, even, paradoxicality of competitors’ actions. This leads to change of competition rules in favour of a winner. The real manifestation of asymmetry is hypercompetition and supercompetition. The author has proven the necessity for drawing up a new model for competitive management of a firm. The author has suggested new approaches to applying major instruments of strategic and competitive analysis. The author attaches significant attention to dynamic modelling of a business (competition) and scenario analysis, including under digital transformation. The new model for competitive management also requires the new non-linear thinking of executives.
