The impact of GDPR on the activity of Romanian personal data controllers 3 and a half years after implementation

Summary/Abstract: 3 and a half years after the implementation of the GDPR, there are sufficient resources to easily and correctly implement its provisions in the activity of the controllers. In practice, however, things are different. The question arises as to whether the implementation of EU Regulation no. 679/2016 had an impact on the activity of Romanian controllers and if so, what is it. The Regulation had some impact on the activity of the operators, but most of them see it as an additional obstacle, additional costs for the business, paperwork, without transposition into technical and organizational measures actually implemented.
