Summary/Abstract: The merging of two artistic personalities into one creative unit, the complexity of their transformation into a personality requires that each artist strive to develop his/her creative potential, be expressive and dedicated to the song. On the concert stage, however, the two personalities must combine their individual qualities and artistic resources. Complementing the different aspects of the two voices, perfecting the style, achieving harmony in the construction of the song form are among the different stages of the development and establishment of the new creative wholeness. During their successful career, the duet Al Bano and Romina Power created some of the most memorable titles of Italian popular music such as “Libertà”, “Ci sara”, “Cara terra mia”, “Sempre sempre”, “Felicità” and released 20 successful albums. The rich musical and artistic activity of the famous duet gives us the opportunity to comment on the specifics of making music in the modern popular musical culture of two people, creating unique interpretations as a creative wholeness.
